Trauma-Informed Equine-Assisted Services (T-IE-AS)*

Serenity Stables utilizes NON-RIDING ground based interventions with horses. No saddles, no bits and no violence. I've discovered many extreme mindsets in relationship horses. Attitudes and beliefs about horses needing to "work" or be "broken" controlled and dominated. Eponaquest, LLC is a multi-disciplinary educational organization where humans, horses and other animals are supported in co-creating a new way of being, one that emphasizes authenticity, collaboration, and experimentation. The emphasis is on learning how to thrive rather than simply survive, expanding both human and animal consciousness/potential. I expereienced this at an Eponaquest workshop I attended with Linda Kahanov and Rebecca Bailey PhD of Polyvagal Equine Institute. The horses there are master teachers, highly communicative and intuitive. The horses let me know, what I needed to know, mindfully co-regulating, connected! Once having had my own expereince with the herd, there has been no doubt in my mind how powerful the organic connection exoereinced human to horse, horse to human is transformational! Next workshop in California with Rebecca Bailey PhD, Jaycee, Margie and Cowboy! Followed by virtual consultation groups,now sure of the framework for Serenity Stables. All along I was brainstorming how and where to do this? I had no horses, no barn and lived in the city! Then Stonewall Farms had a post, this would be home to Hazel and Olive,my two adopted minature horses and instructors of PVEI Polyvagal Ponies program.
